Best Gas Checks for Sub/Supersonic use?

    Running a 450 Bushmaster on a Savage platform with a 1:16 twist.

    Mold is an Accurate:

Goal is to have 2 loads, one sub and one supersonic, accuracy being key as always.

What gas check would be best for this application?

The one that goes on the bottom of the bullet.
A bit of levity there. Ha Ha !!
You may find that at the subsonic velocity you won't need the check. The only way to know is to try.
I might just check them all.

PC coating only and no checks necessary!

Good point, don't think a gas check would be necessary at that low of a velocity but my mold is for a gc boolit, so will need one either way.

As I said, maybe, maybe not. I have read that at subsonic levels a checked boolit can shoot fine with out.
Try it and see. Leaving off the check if not needed savers a step and a bit of pocket change.

Good to know, just use a reg check for supersonic loads?
