I have some rusty Colt ACE mags.
What would be the best way to clean the rust off???
They kind of look like they are blued, but hard to tell.
Didn't know these were worth so much.

Hi.
The first thing I would try is to disassemble them and simply boil them. Once they come out of the boiling water, they'll be hot and should dry fairly quickly, so immediately coat them with oil (like Kroil) to prevent flash rusting. If they are blued, that should preserve the bluing somewhat. Your other post you asked about Evapo-rust. That works, but like others pointed out, it will eat the bluing as well.

Try some gun oil on a bit of 0000 steel wool. Light pressure
If you think Colt Ace mags are expensive try a Remington 37 or and early Browning BLR.
Remington 37 mags are usually $200 and there was a Browning mag on Ebay For $495.
Also have two Rem 37 mags.
Worth saving.
I just bought a Savage Sporter Waffle Mag for 25-20 for ONLY $150!
