PC bullets molds are great (ones without lube grooves)

got a 150 gr .45 mold that I use in my cowboy SSA. without the lube grooves the bullets truly fall out of the molds.

Brings a smile to my face when I cast with it

I have had mixed results with nlg molds. In 9mm, my nlg mold works great. I have a .32 nlg mold for the mp-sledgehammer, and it shows pressure signs before I can get any decent velocity out of it, compared to the same bullet with lube grooves in 327 fed. I think that is because of the long bearing surface.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

I only have Accurate 9 mm nlg molds and the bullets drop out with just a shake, I coat with Hi-Tek and it works great in all the 9 mm's I shoot.

    I like them too!

    Hi,
I agree. I recently got my first one from Miha (6C H&G 68) and it's a joy to cast with. Either PC or Hi-Tek and you're ready to go!

I see no real gain with NLG molds. I have them for 9mm, 40 and 45 cal. They shoot the same accuracy as lube grooves. And I have not really seen any "dropping" advantage to them. Most of my molds drop the boolits as soon as I open them.

    But whatever works for you!

    Be safe and healthy.

What I have found shooting the same bullet styles with no grooves is higher pressures with the same powder charges. So just drop the powder charge until you are getting the same vel as grooved bullets.

I have a miha NLG mold for 140gr .357 HP's and the bullets fall out STOS. No jiggling and I can cast faster with it.
