I just got done making up a batch of the KISS lube. I used a heat gun to melt the JPW then I stirred in the LLA. Then I spooned some into a jar for immediate use and sealed up the remainder in the JPW can.

I hope it works because this batch made enough where it should last me the rest of my life.

The name 45-45-10 is the ratio of the ingredients.
I guess it should be called 45:45:10
    45% Liquid Alox
    45% Johnson's Paste Wax
    10% mineral spirits

Get all of your stuff together outside, or someplace with good ventilation.
    Melt the JPW,
then add the Liquid Alox and stir until it is all mixed together.
    Remove from heat.
Add the Mineral Spirits and stir.
Put into some container so the Mineral Spirits don't evaporate on you.
Do not heat this up in a microwave!! Use a pan of hot water instead.
If it starts to get hard or too thick, put the container of 45-45-10 into a pan of hot water until it is liquid again, then pour in some mineral spirits until it gets back to the consistency that you want.

    FWIW
    Glenn.
