How does the Lyman gas check seater attachment work on the 45 sizer/luber?

I have 2 of these, in stuff I bought, I have only used Horandy gas checks, which crimp on when ran thru the sizing die. Do you use a press or the 45, 450 etc. All replies appreciated, just wanted to know.

Seating and crimping are two different things.
The Lyman gas check "seater" attachment will not work on the 45 lubesizer.

On a 450, the gas check seater blocks the die's pin from moving. So when you insert the bullet and gas check in the top of the die, pulling the handle doesn't push the bullet into the die far enough to size it. The bullet base and gas check goes in bout an 1/8" and stops, pressing the check on centered and square.

I’ve been using a knock out plug from a circuit breaker panel with my 45, the stiff steel seems to work pretty good. I’m using my 4500 for gas check work more though, seating is not so bad but sizing with a gas check On some of my bullets takes a pretty good yank to get them going.
