Any vintage shotgun shell collectors here?

I have a bunch of antique shotgun shells that I've had since the 1970s. Most with rolled crimps. One is a Eley pinfire. Wondering if these have any value and where I might find collectors that would be interested. Unfortunately, I do not have any boxes. I have not cataloged them yet, wondering if it is worth my while to do that.

I don't think without boxes they have any value other than what someone might pay for them. I'd like to have something like that in my collection, and if I ran across a double handful of old shotgun shells at a yardsale I'd give about ten dollars if they were neat.

Here's a good place to look for prices and desirability.

Ive collected shotshells and cartridges for over 40 years. Ive been a life member of the IAA International Ammunition Assoc. for that long.
Pricing has always been hard to determine. To a collector of a particular type, a shell may be worth much, whereas 10 other guys wouldn't pay a dime for it.
Wards auctions is a fun site to browse and see what guys have and what someone is willing to pay.
The IAA has a show in St Louis every year the week before Easter..cancelled this year, it is an amazing place to see what is out there.
Unbelievable! Kind of a kooky hobby, but I enjoy it. I urge anyone to join the club.

Thank you for the lead. I signed up for the site. Looks like I will have to spend some time going through the site. A bit different from other online auction sites I've seen.

I will probably put together some type of display with some of them. A lot of cool stuff. But the rest of it will just sit until my estate has to figure out what to do with them.

I have a Whitney rolling block shotgun in 18 ga. I have looked for years for a original 18 ga. shell and found 2 so far. One that was near perfect condition went for 135.00 at a online auction and I dropped out at $ 100 and the other was at a gun show and was badly water damaged and the seller wouldn't budge from the $ 75 he was asking so I bought 10 all brass lathe turned hulls from RMC and have been able to shoot it with shot and round ball.
I killed a hog with it a few years ago with a lead round ball handload.

I tried sharing some photos, but I can't get them to load on this site.

I use imgur. When I'm on the computer. On the wife's phone it's a no go.

Yeah, no. I learned my lesson about using online photo storage. I tried using the insert image feature on the reply thread. I couldn't get it to work from my computer.

On the reply you have to click "GO Advanced" then manage attachments.

One of the biggest issues is picture files are to large to post. If you have an upload that fails, check the picture size first.
