How often do you clean them.
How often do you clean them.
I run them for a hour with detergent and lemi-shine every 15-20 cycles, I have probably added a pound or more in the last 2-3 years because of loss too.
Never. They get rinsed in the separating process.
My Thumler's Tumbler sits idle -- mostly frozen -- generally from U S Thanksgiving time through to right-about-now -- end of April. BEFORE I start cleaning/tumbling brass in it, I simply fill the drum about 1/2 full of DISTILLED water (~$1/gallon from Wal*Mart), and let it run for two hours. On my do-it-list shortly, I can anticipate the water looking a bit cloudy when I do this later in the week. It also seems to remove any "slime" from the rubber Tumbler liner.
What I do...

I do about like DGV does. I don't know if its necessary or not but its easy enough to do. A cap full of Dawn and a gallon of water.
Just a rinse during the separation process.
I tumble pins with brass cases to clean the pins 😀
Same here. Never clean the pins.
Wet tumbling, in essence, is a "self-cleaning" process with each tumbling session.
However, I do thoroughly rinse the pins and brasses to remove all vestiges of soap before everything goes into the rotary media separator...

About as often as I wash the clothes washer drum Maybe a touch less since I seldom leave really messy stuff in the cases, I sometimes do in the pockets of my clothes. The ability to translate "what is this all over the washer" to "I want you to come in and wipe out this little bit of whatever" is what makes for a successful marriage.
I rinse the brass and pins in the drum at end of each batch. Seems sufficient.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.
Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
