    What next?

I've got another AR lower on the way.

I'm at a quandary as what to build.

    I have two in 5.56, I have a 223 Wylde upper, I have a 7.62x39 upper, I have a 300 Blackout pistol.

Since it's a standard upper I really don't want to go to the expense of building a 9mm on it, besides I'm going to get the Ruger PC Charger and I have the Ruger PC Carbine.

I'm really leaning towards a 350 Legend. I don't need it, but it's easy to find and should be easy to cast for it. Reloading it should be easy peasy!

    What do ya think? Ideas?

50 Beowulf. It's alot of fun on steel with cast.

I've thought about a 450 BM or a 50 Beowulf, but the cost of the brass gives me nightmares.

    Legend brass is 250/$71
    450 MB is 250/$169
    50 Beowulf is 250/$172

$0.68-$0.69 brass isn't worth it to me. If I lost one I'd kill myself looking for it.

Was gonna suggest the 458 Socom but brass is still above $0.50. I have a Charles Daly 410 upper. Actually pretty fun but would suggest reloading for the 410. 350 legend is a good choice.

.277 Wolverine. Cheap brass if you have the time to form it from 5.56 or you could pay a little more and get it from starline. I really wanted to build one but a sale on barrels and reloading dies convinced me to go 7.62x40 WT.

All kinds of cool calibers to get, 300 Blackout, 300 Hammer, 6.5 Grendel, 7.62x47, 350 Legend, 450 Bushmaster, 458 Socom, 500 Beowulf plus a bunch more too.

The 6.8 SPC works well on deer and pigs.
I’m going to hold off on building an AR for a while. Or so I tell myself.....

The 20 Practical matches the ballistics of a 204, should you be a varmint shooter. You don't have a 6.5 Grendel yet.
If you had an AR 10, I'd suggest a 358 Winchester barrel.

It will be a range toy more than anything else. My hunting days are long past.

For range toys, the only thing I would consider is .223 or 7.62x39.

I really like the 6.8 for hunting.

Maybe a .224 Valykrie would be of interest to you.

only cheap brass will be rounds based on the 556. I like my new Grendel. I had a 762x39 and it was a nightmare to get to feed. Im sure they've got the bugs worked out by now but im still shy about doing another. Beo is fun but it is expensive to feed. As is the bushmaster and socom. But at least with those three you can use cast bullets. 350 doesn't show me much. If I could use 556 brass id be all over it but it doesn't kill anything one bit deader the the 762x39 or the 6.5 Grendel or for that matter the 30 rem or 6.8. If im going big im going BIG. Personaly the 25 sharps is calling me. Ive allways been a 250sav/257 rob fan and that comes awful close to the 250. Uses cheap to boot. One thing you could consider is a 16 inch 300 bo. You already have the brass and dies and it makes a bit better deer rifle then a 8 inch gun. My 7 and 8.5s BOs are about 3-400 fps slower. Mine will push barnes 110s to 2400 fps and ive killed deer out to 200 yards with it and it was pretty impressive even that far out. It will do with a 110 grain bullet what your 762x39 will with a 130.

Was gonna say the 30 herret rimless but you got that covered with the BO and the x39 rounds . If you like longer range shooting I'd say the 22 valkrie but indside of 500 yds the 223 does the same thing . For what your wanting the 350 sounds about right , lots of bullet variety jacketed and cast and bass is easy to get . BCA still has a good variety of barrels in 350
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

30 Hamr in carbine form. Or 40WT. Good 200 yd ballistics with jacketed and reasonable with cast. WT for light bullets and Hamer for heavier supers.
    Whatever!
