Why don't we have Bacon flavored Ice Cream ?

Is there going to be a cure for Cabin Fever .... aka ...Going Bananas , Bonkers , Berserk , Batty , Barmy, Besides Oneself ??????

It does exist. I have seen bacon ice cream. But, as much as I LOVE bacon, I am going to pass.

Some flavors just don't play well together. I love beer. I love strawberries. I tried strawberry beer once. It was one of the most awful things that I have ever put in my mouth.

Bacon for breakfast and ice cream at night. No plans to mix the two together. My son would eat bacon on anything. I plan to test this one day by frying him some bacon with a pair of my dirty socks.

Local restaurant chain offered bacon icecream on April First a couple of years ago. I tried it and liked it. My wife said ughh at the idea.

It was a small shop in SF that made their own flavors. It was some time ago & I don’t remember the name. I just remember it was an odd flavor so I tried it & thought it was good.

Just did a quick search & there’s a bunch of recipes for homemade maple bacon ice cream. The only commercial one is made for dogs! Lol

Our new electric one will be here tomorrow. We have 2 hand crankers but our electric zonked out last fall right in the middle of a batch of strawberry goats milk ice cream. We finished with a hand cranker.
You cant get any better than goats milk ice cream!!!

I used to make a lot of ice cream and got pretty good at it .
Then I was visiting my brother in Texas and discovered Blue Bell Ice Cream . The ice cream they made put mine to shame and was cheaper . I've even made several pilgrimages to the Blue Bell plant in Brenham Texas .
After Blue Bell expanded it's sales distribution into Louisiana ... my home freezer went for $5.00 at a yard sale and I haven't wanted to make ice cream since ... Blue Bell makes it better than I can .
They even make Creole Cream Cheese ice cream , a local favorite , that I never could get to come out quite right even with the help of a friend who owned a ice cream shop and made all his own ice cream flavors .
Now that I've thought about it ...Cold Sweet and Bacon may not be a match made in heaven .
I might try it if Blue Bell comes out with it ...but then again ...maybe not .

Some things just aren't made to be cold. Coffee and bacon are high on that list for me.

I've known how it feels for a long time. Retirement is boring, unlike what I thought it would be. I do get time to do many things I enjoy around the house, even though they are work. I do miss having a job to go to every day, but I try to make the best of it.

bacon salad
bacon on bacon topped with bacon.......etc.
