    Quick load and cast boolits

I've never used QL and wonder how it works with cast boolit development.

There is not a lot of load information for heavy cast boolits in 223 and 458 socom.

Is there anything that one needs to look for working with QL?

Did some looking and I might have over looked it. Does QL let you enter data for a cartridge they do not have on their list

For what it is worth NOE has a file with a lot of his bullets that you can upload into QL. Lee is already in there.

QuickLoad works fine with cast. It has bullet files of both Lee, Lyman and RCBS boolits. Also, you can make your own bullet files and design your own cartridges.

I just visited the Quickload page and it says that the software cannot be delivered to the US? Why?

Thank you for all the input. Think I'll pull the trigger and buy it.

Shooting heavy cast booltis in AR 223 and AR 458 Socom. The 458 should be fun finding loads for.

What powders will you be using? Most of the newer ones are not currently and will not be included in the future. There’s a list in the long Quickload thread. I know I posted one for either the latest version or the one that preceded it.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great program. But if you’re using newer powders you will be disappointed.

I'm thinking RL 15 for the 458. That also depends on what the software says too.
