    Free WW

As I've posted before I'm thinking of getting into casting. I made a few phone calls to some of my customers and was offered enough WWs to fill a 35 gallon drum and a 5 gallon bucket. The good news was they were glad to give them to me for free. All I need now is some casting equipment.

    AW,

I live 7 miles from the I79 Elkview exit. Actually pretty close to you.

Have been casting for 40 years or so. I can probably help.

When you smelt out the WW you have you'll get 110 to 130 pounds or more of material depending on how clean the WWs are. You're probably looking at a 1000 pounds of material. You'll also end up with quite a pile of scrap.

I use a propane camping stove to smelt on. Works but isn't all that fast.

What calibers are you interested in casting for? (I have molds for 9mm, .357, .41, .45, pistols, and .308, .366, .375, .458 and .475 rifle. Would like to acquire a .416 rifle mold as well.)

You could probably sell me some WW to help fund your tools. Would be interested in a couple of 5 gallon buckets.

Nope ... no cure ... just becomes a way to feed the other nasty habit in your life ... shooting

Gun deer season opens tomorrow ... may use a .458 AR w 430 gr cast bullets. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

And it is not terminal however; life is and no one gets out of that alive.

So, enjoy it while you can.
