Anyone with experiance loading surplus WC-850 powder

Has anyone loaded up any WC-850 surplus powder . I recently came into 16 lbs of this powder along with 8 lbs of WC-846 .

From the powder chart I found on this site it says to use the load data for H-380 for the WC-850 and BL-C2 load data for the WC-846.

The only concern I have is with the note about it is associated with chamber ringing . I thought chamber ringing was associated with small powder charges and a filler in 45/70 cases.

Hey Sparky,

I have loaded enough WC 850 to wear out barrels on three 22-250's.

Use BLC II data, minus a grain or two. Excellent accuracy in the 22-250. Have friends who shot bunches in the M-1A with outstanding result. If you "max out" on your powder charge, you will know. Believe I used (am out) 35.5gr WC 850 under a 55gr Dog Town with Fed 210. Have to look in the book, think it was 3250fps? Scary accurate in all three barrels.

The 846 is a trifle "faster"......Have not ever loaded that... (use less?)
