Those washers on the ends may not be lead, I would check them.

    Thank you for posting
    Great find
Looks like soft lead to me.
Mix it 50/50 with some wheel weights for
    some target pistol bullets

So far I've got a ladle and some ingot molds... I need to buy a furnace and some bullet mold now.

When I lucked into several hundred pounds of lead water pipe a few years ago, I just used my limb lopper tool to cut it into smelting size pieces. Worked quick and easy.

I have a propane grill that uses the 1 lb. bottles. I bought a hose that hooks on to a 20 lb. bottle then hooks to the grill.
I have a propane torch that you use on 1 lb. bottles. I can hook this torch to the hose on the 20 lb. bottle.
When I get something like that I set it up over my smelting pot and use the torch on the 20 lb. bottle to melt in into the pot. It works well and releases any moisture inside.
I can then set the pot up on the turkey fryer and melt up and clean to make ingots.
No wasted lead from cutting it up.
Hold on. That's how I did it last time I had a big chunk of lead. I recently got one of those weed burner torches from Harbor Freight.
I'll use that next time. Much bigger and hotter flame, will work quicker.

Some lead pipe is formulated with antimony added.
I've had some from a chemical plant salvage that I call mystery metal. It's solidifies into a soft matrix with harder crystalline structures that form first. High temperatures needed to make molds fill out. Makes good expanding hollow points.
