Thread: Charter Pathfinder 8 shot on the way

    Took the Pathfinder out today and put 50 trouble free rounds through it. As to the hand sticking out problem: it seems like this is induced by holding the cylinder latch piece back and cocking the hammer with the cylinder open. When the hammer falls and you release the trigger, the hand doesnt retract all the way. It never does this when firing single or double action. I wonder if cycling the action with the cylinder open induces this, the hand needs the ratchet in place to stay in time?
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

    If it only does it as you describe I wouldn't worry about it.
    Make sure it has dropped before you close the cylinder . If it a problem shows up under normal cycling deal with it then , unless someone with more Charter Arms experience has a reason to do differently I have only had 2 , I have 1 now I will check it later and see if mine does that.
