    My wife is awesome

Today was my birthday and she bought me a couple cool things...

One is a "silver bullet" - 1 oz silver shaped like a 45 ACP:

Then she gave me the REALLY cool thing...

This is for my Marlin - we'll see if I can reach out to 1000 or even 1500 yards... Yeeessssssss!

Also, best thing about today was one of the ranges I belong to is a private range. I'm in SoCal, so EVERYTHING is shutdown... But my range is open to members who know the padlock code...
So, I went and shot a bunch of 44s and 40s at the pistol range on some steel targets -- ALONE.
I also sent one 44 a little high and hit one of my target holders...

Look at the upside. 1) You now have some. garden fertilizer, 2) You have powder containers appropriate for either use or display, and 3) You have a perfect reason to restock with full containers. Hopefully it comes out of the household budget rather than your hobby budget.

Did you beat up your wife? Nope, she won't come out of the bath room...

Yeah - we have a cool one. It's on the Pala indian reservation... The furthest target is 880 yards. There's also a 100 yard pistol range and a 50 yard shotgun range.

All I can say is WOW! Just WOW! Our club property has nearly 400 acres and is accessible to members via a combination lock (changed annually) on the front gate... we have a 300 yd rifle range and a 50 yd pistol range, but we’re primarily a shotgun club with 5 skeet fields, 3 trap fields, 2 sporting clays courses, and a five-stand setup. The rifle and pistol ranges usually aren’t all that busy.

Back to the intent of this thread though, yesterday I got another sample of 32 S&W Longs loaded, this time a box of MP 100 gr hollow points over 3.2 gr of WW 231. I hope to get some more casting done today as well as maybe loading a box or two of different bullets... I’ve also got some swaged stuff that I’d like to have available when I start testing my K-32, maybe next week. I’ve got one of the old Mequon Pistol Rests (poor man’s Ransom Rest) so maybe I’ll even try to be scientific.
