    Does PC reflect the substrate?

Does Powder Coating reflect the boolit's surface (i.e. wrinkles, hard edges, irregularities, conformance to mold, etc.)? Or is it "thick enough" to smooth and cover wrinkles? Obviously, I don't PC.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

From what I've measured, PC ends up being about a .001" coating. If your flaws are less than half a thou they probably wouldn't be noticable,

I cull and recast those with any observable defect. Does PC'ing "overcome" boolit irregularities from barrel to target? Do wrinkled boolits that are PC'd shoot as accurately as no-observable-defect boolits?
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

It does cover up small wrinkles and such, but, not flaws like bad bases or grooves.

The problem is that those small wrinkles and such usually point to other problems with the bullet. Obviously not an issue for pistol plinking at 10-20yd, but, if you want excellent accuracy then weed out the bad looking bullets.

In my molds, frosting, yes, vertical wrinkles (light) yes, horizontal wrinkles, rounded bases, no.

PC coatings are really thin. They might cover up a defect that's around .0005, but you'd never even see that size defect to begin with. Any visible defects will be visible after the PC has been applied.

I have started keeping and segregating bullets with small defects and have been unable to see any variations in accuracy with my pistol loads. I don't think I'd see any difference with these same bullets if using a lubesizer either.
