    44 Magnum jacketed rubber bullet

Has anyone seen a jacketed rubber bullet before? I had several of them but haven’t been able to figure out if this was a factory item or someone got bored.

Have you opened one of them up? I'm wondering if that's just a cap or seal to keep something else inside the jacket.

Home made Glaser Safety Slug, perhaps?
If you have more than one, you might pull the projectile, and dissect it by removing the plastic(?) cap to see if it is loaded with small shot.

You might also weigh the cartridge compared to a traditional ( say 180 gr-240 gr ) factory cartridge if you have but one of this unknown round.
