    HiTek: mix different color coats?

I just used the last of my bottle of gold to do the first coat of a batch of bullets. Is there any reason not to do the second coat with some candy apple red I already have mixed or do I need to mix up a new batch of gold and coat with the same color?

coat away. It will work fine. I do it all the time when testing new colours for HITEK.
If the test colour is no good or looks terrible, I put 2 coats of Black over them... all good. no issues.
    Hooroo.

Ausglock is the undisputed master of HiTek color mixing. I do believe Petander is a close second and coming up fast, though...watch yer back, there, Trevor

I did it with no problems. I put a black gold coat and then a Kryptonite green coat. The dark base really made the metallic green stand out.
