    Question Junior1942 has passed

    He's been gone since 2014.
Ran across his picture in a thread.
    Was good to see him.

I miss Junior. Just before I left for Wyoming in 2014 he sent me a bag of screws with a nice little note written in his humor, I was only home a couple of weeks when I heard the sad news. I still have his hand written note in the gun safe. Yep, I miss John.

There are so many that just disappear and you wonder where they went. Its good, in a sad way, to just know. Kind of like having some closure. I read back on some of the older longer threads, like "do you have a lifetime supply", and wonder at the names that you don't see anymore.

I miss him as well. Always checked his site for new stories, adventures, or recipes. I liked how juke joint adventures and planned a trip with my daughter to his area hoping to stop in and say thanks. Sadly, missed that opportunity. A good guy well remembered.

    This thread has his recipe:

And to complete your Junior1942 experience (WARNING: don't be drinking when you read this):

"Thanks for the kind words, guys! One of my favorites on my www.deltablues.net recipe page is Pork Neckbones & Rice. You'll find this hard to believe, but Cher emailed me about that recipe and how much she liked it. Sad to admit, but I answered her with my testicles, and she never contacted me again....."

Junior 1942 like so many of us was a veteran and many of us vets will one day leave for the peace of heaven and finally able to put the past where it belongs. RIP Junior 1942 you are sadly missed

Junior and I talked on the phone a couple of times trying to see if we were related. Never found any direct connection. If we were it was a loooong way back. Divided by politics, but joined by a love of shooting and the great outdoors.

Junior actually brought me to this forum from over on the SEC Rant. He made a couple of saddle rings for me ... what a great guy. I had no idea that he had passed and I ammleftmshaking my head and asking myself how did I miss that. I guess that was right about the time that I was retiring and I was off the forums for a couple of years.

    God Bless him.
