    Idaho shake

Not unusual to some of you in LoCal but we just had a pretty good rolling earthquake here in the Boise valley. First one of any notice since the early 80s. Gp

We used to have some in the DFW area.

They never happened until a few years ago.
I'm sure it's unrelated..... But somehow, the earth quakes stopped when they quit fracking.

Size/Prime a few cases when starting off with a progressive and put them aside. You can plug them back into the process when a bad/odd case screws up in the priming station and continue loading.

We had one here in upstate NY just days before the Utah one. We never got quacks.

This one was centered in the central Idaho mountains and I'm hearing 6.3 to 6.5. It wasn't a sharp shock here at my place, just a rolling effect. Nothing cracked or broke all pictures still hanging so all's well if a little unusual. Gp

Wow, I didn't read down far enough. It was a 6.5. Hold on!

Wife and I rode out the roller coaster sitting in our living room, in Boise. The one in 1983 was a bit more exciting. We were laying in our waterbed when it hit, and the waves were "gnarly"!!!

My wife and I drove through the Stanley area back in ‘14. I think we would have been on Hwy 21 where the boulders tumbled on to the road surface?

We came south from McCall and then cut east before getting to Boise. We stayed in the mountains until we had to swing out at a place called Arco? We crossed a desert and passed by the National Nuclear Lab on the way to Idaho Falls. Our destination was West Yellowstone.

After spending some time in the Park we circled around to the south and then drove up to Salmon ID. Stopped and had lunch and perused a store (clothing I believe). The owner, an older gentleman, remembered Elmer Keith .... liked him but not so highly of Ted.

We kept traveling north and climbed out and into Montana, descended into Hamilton and Darby. Stayed the night in Missoula. Got on I 90 and sailed home to Central WA.

I will say I have never seen so much pavement stuck to such steep ground!

Felt it in Meridian! My wife and I were on the couch and I was on the phone. I thought it was the wind at first but was talking to a guy in Nampa who felt it also.

It’s pretty unnerving when the things you think are solid begin to shake. (I’m sure there’s a sermon in there somewhere.)

We felt it in Viola too. As others said it was a roller, not sharp. Seemed to last about 20 to 30 seconds here. I was in my shop, heard a roar that I thought was wind at first until I noticed my Honda SxS was jiggling around. Wife was working in kitchen and she felt it too. JW

I remember years ago we had a kind of big one.
    Lasted a couple of seconds.
We had no damage or anything falling down.
Not even pictures on the wall.
The whole island had to shut down because the power for the whole island went off.
People all over were stuck in the elevators.
    Lasted for a whole day.
Since then, I've wondered what would happen if we had a really big one.
