    top....Winchester 30-30 1940's vintage
    middle....Sears and Roebuck .22 single shot...my first rifle..lots of rabbits fell to this rifle
    bottom....Savage 99C in .308 Win....mid 60's vintage
    Death to every foe and traitor and hurrah, my boys, for freedom !

    yes....full length with an octagon barrel...a true long rifle
    the wood to metal fit-up is beautifully done.

    I'm just impressed you can narrow it to three!!!! That is three nice ones to top a list. As with others, a JC Higgins single shot 22 was my first but what model I have no idea....that was only 62 years ago....and I wish I still had it.
