    Mosin type 53 ?

I would like some help with bullet selection cast or jacketed, for a type 53 mosin that slugged .312. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Jerry

For cast I use the Lee 312-185R or 314-299 by Lyman sized .313 or .314. You can find plenty of load data on here with cast bullets in the 7.62X54 case, 1800 fps is fun to shoot all day long, enjoy!

Lyman 314-299 sizes .313 gas checked. Lubed with three coats of Bens Liquid Lube.
Powder 28-30 grs imr 4895 or 26 -28 grs AA2520, I use a pinch of dacron in these
    Loads.

My Type 53 measures out at .315.
It shoots well with a 316-299 cast out of hard lead , GC'ed and powder coated.
The rifle has a Russian copy sniper scope on it and does very well at 100 yards with RL 7 powder.
I think I am shooting around 20 grains but don't have my data at hand.
