    .338 price and options

Here is a cost break down of both what I deem necessary and what additional upgrades I have to offer to make 338 cal bullets from various jacket materials using my dies. First of all I recommend using a Lee Classic Cast press with my BTSniper premium dies. I offer an improved version of the Lee Classic Cast press that I have modified specifically to handle the pressures of swaging. This press has modified linkages that produce over twice the leverage of the stock press and comes with a new threaded ram and auto eject set up.

Should the customer already have the Lee Classic Cast press all that is needed is my auto eject set up and the press will be good to go for use with my dies.

    Swage Press with Auto Eject

    $399.00

BTSniper improved Lee Classic Swage press with auto eject

    Auto Eject System

    $249.00

For customer that already has Lee Classic Cast press

*looking closely it is a shell holder ram top pictured, the threaded ram top that uses my 1/2-20tpi base punches is shown in pic below. Shows that both my threaded base punches and shell holder style base punches can be used if necessary, threaded is standard, shell holder style is more expensive option.

BTSniper Premium 338 cal Swage Dies
*new ram top is shown in pic and will be included with purchase of either auto eject system or my complete swage press.

    Commercial Jackets

This is a bare minimum set up.....

    $699.00 point form die
    $499.00 core seat die
    $549.00 core bleed die
    $225.00 eleven cavity core mold
    $237.00 three threaded base punches

    $2209.00 total

    Additional Add Ons and/or Upgrades....

223rem brass for 338 cal jackets

A good choice for making both affordable, deadly and accurate 338 cal bullets is to use scrap 223rem brass for jackets.

$450.00 draw dies to go from .375-.355, and then .355-335 with the 223 brass
$69.00 draw die push threw base punch

    $519.00

Copper tubing for 338 cal jackets

*making 338 cal jackets from copper tubing is a lot of labor but for those that have the time excellent bullets can be made from scrap 3/8" tubbing.

$499.00 copper tubing jacket form die
$299.00 Copper tubing jacket forming base punch (makes one length jacket, additional punches necessary should various length jackets be required).
$450.00 draw dies to reduce copper tubing from .375 to .335 (same as with the 223 kit)
$69.00 draw die push threw base punch (same as with the 5.7 kit)
$69.00 Copper tubing core seat base punch

    $1386.00

    Boat tail

    $349.00 Boat tail base punch
$50.00 Boat tail core seat die upgrade

    $399.00

These are the numbers, price and tooling required to form 338 cal bullets from various jacket materials. Notice some of the various kits have tooling that over laps and can be used with other kits should customer purchase more then one add on.

Feel free to contact me for additional details. Let me know your email address and I'll be happy to send copy of instruction manuals for potential customers to look over.

    Good shooting and swage on!
