    Marlin 1894cs JM .357/.38

    I bought a nice little Marlin 1894cs JM in .357/.38 last night. Here a few pictures of it.

    It is in immaculate condition. Not a scratch or mark on it anywhere. I bought it from the original owner. It came with the original box, packing & paperwork. The first two numbers of the serial number are “05” indicating that it was made in 1995.

    One odd thing about this one, the “JM” stamp on the barrel was double stamped. I included a picture of it below.

    I have been blessed lately with finding some pretty nice pre-owned firearms here locally. I am excited to take this one to the range this weekend!

    That's a great condition 1894. I've seen JM stamps that were all over the place in readability. They were done by hand, so each one is slightly different, or even a lot different. Some are deep, some are shallow, and I've got one that only shows the "J", and barely a mark at all for the "M".

    That is beautiful! I have an 1894c that I will never give up, love that mine does not have the cross bolt safety. If that is microgroove, seriously look at the RCBS-180-SIL mould. I have shot thousands of them and they are hands down the most accurate bullet I have tried.

    One of my most used and favorite combinations.

    Great plinker
    Good critter control gun at shorter ranges
    Could take a deer with it if need be.

    Cheap brass, tons of bullets, easy to reload.

    You will love it!!

    BTW, I have two 1894’s in .38/.357...and an 1873 clone

    Good score! My 1894 with micro groove shoots great with the Lee 358-125-RF and 358-158-RF.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

    I've found they like the LBT 185 grain bullets whichever case you put it in .

    I'm sure you will like the carbine .
