I was off work for 2weeks , and the wife is still out of work (no pay ) rrrrrh!!! So i casted and loaded several hundred each of 9mm , 45acp , 45colt , 45-70 , 30-30 and 8x57 . I've always wanted to try Paper Patching so i started my learning journey on my 8x57 Mauser . But this week they opened work up , and today they informed us we will go to lots of overtime starting tomorrow so paper patching is on hold for a while . Happy for the overtime because things was getting tight with the wife out of work , but i was burn out on overtime years ago Ha!ha

cleaned up casting bench from last falls run of casting run of .460 for my 45-70. found a hole peanut butter jar full of 44's I had forgotten about and another full of 311 to be sized. guess I'll have something to do after all.

Cleaned off the load bench, cast 1200 RCBS 35-200 for my 358 win, pan lubed 150 of them, cast about 650 358-158 from my arsenal mold from the recent group buy, and powder-coated 200 of them, and been working on load development for the 2 bullets. I tell you, those Arsenal bullets (weigh in at 164 grains with powder-coat and gas check) loaded with 11.5 grains Unique for 1500 FPS are the most fun things to shoot. Puts a smile on my face, especially when I switch from shooting 20 rounds of the RCBS bullets at 2200 fps! Quiet, very minimal recoil, and should be able to get them fairly accurate. So far I have gotten 3/4 inch at 50 yards. Still room for imrovement there which is where I am going to work next.

After cleaning 1000s of brass the past several weeks I am starting to reload 9mm and 45 acp. Got a long way to go to fill all that shiny brass though!

Loading, casting for, shooting and chronographing a bunch of stuff most folks have never heard of. Worked up not one, but two excellent loads for my Vierordt double rifle. Been burning some BP in a few cartridge rifles. Spring is trying to act like it's here so we've been in the yard, garden and flower beds a lot as well

Fortunate enough to be able to shoot on my land...I'm concentrating primarily on 9mm, I enjoy moderately hot cast loads that still retain a lot of accuracy. Current favorite is the Lee 125 gr. RF offering along with a charge of Accurate #7.
