WTS: SOWW lead in 5 pound bars. 3 lots of 50 lbs. each!

    ALL THREE LOTS ARE SOLD!

I had Three (3) lots of SOWW lead (nearly pure) weighing 50 lbs. each box, For Sale.

This lead was from all “Tape-A-Weights” collected and hand sorted by me, the temperature was controlled during smelting to ensure that no zinc snuck in and it was fluxed with a mixture of wax and sawdust. These were poured into my 5 lb. molds then packed into a wooden crate which fits neatly inside a USPS medium flat rate box. (These larger boxes have a custom wood liner to ensure safe delivery.)

What would you estimate the BHN to be for the SOWW ingots?

    Thanks, Dinny

This is Dead Soft, blue lead. It has around 0.25% Tin in it, probably 99.75% is Pb. I have not tested it, but I have alway treated this as Pure Lead. It makes great hollow point lead with additional Tin. I use it for 25:1 and other custom blends. Also good for muzzle loaders and fish weights, as is.

BHN will be close to 6, not much more!
