I had a pimpish Nickle plated, pearl handled Uberti Remington 1875 Outlaw with the 5.5" barrel. To this day it is the most accurate .45 LC handgun I've fired. Some of my CAS friends had the 1873 Colt copies, and 1873 Winchester copies by Uberti. Excellent all.

I was just at the gun shop today looking at guns and they had an Uberti Cattleman next to a Ruger new Vaquero. Exact same configuration and caliber. The Ruger was $800 and the Uberti $450. The Uberti had nicer bluing, better case coloring, and nicer grain in the stocks.

The Uberti Cattleman is a steal. A little bit like the CZ 75 a few years ago. Amazing gun at an affordable price. The Ruger and Uberti fill different roles. That doesn’t mean the other one is not a quality firearm. Both guns, in my experience, have had about the same level of quality control problems, and have been sent back to be repaired. They’re about equal in that regard. I think the Ruger’s have gone downhill in QC, and the Ubertis have improved. But they both should be checked out before buying.

Why do some OP's get lost with never a reply to their question or a Thank You. Are those who reply talking to ourselves?
