    RCBS 2-Cavity Bullet Mold 30-115-SP 30 Caliber What to Use it For?

    I have 2 Rifes a 1903 and a Garand.
    Presently I use a 311365 in both with 34 grains of 4895 or 35 of Varget
    I found this new RCBS 30-115-SP in my stash.
    So I figured it would be good for them.
    The only other 30 cal I have is 30-30mand have a Lyma Flat Point for it. Like you should use.
    {I do have a 300Blackout but it is an AR so posted another thread}
    So thoughts?

    That is a classic boolit for the 30 M1 Carbine and is one of my favorites for such use, as well as the Lyman 311359. It can also be used in any other 30 Cal though. I don't use it in my Garand though, I use the Lyman 311299 for that one. Heavier boolits are better for reliable cycling in the Garand. Should shoot fine in your 1903 though.

    The Garand is 100 percent with the 311365 as it is 200. I know guys shoot as low as 125 Jacketed in 30-06 Grands but thought 115 would be way low and I have the Loads down already with the 200's so keeping with that. I am not fixing anything not broken. But wanted to ask while asking.
    Was more look at it for 1903 and 300BLK

    As mentioned the 30-115-SP is excellent for use in the 30 Carbine. It would also be excellent in your M1903 for casual plinking and small game. Cast soft, left unsized with no GC and simply TL'd in LLA then loaded over Bullseye (4 - 6 gr) to a velocity in the 800 - 1050 fps range will give you an excellent plinking and small game load which is also a lot of fun. Cast of COWWs + 2% tin (or equivalent), lubed with LLA or a good NRA 50/50 lube (Lars White label 50/50 is excellent), GC'd and loaded over 8 - 10 gr Bullseye will give you an excellent load in the 1400 - 1600 +/- fps range which will be surprisingly accurate to 300 yards......and a lot of fun.
