Here is a cost break down of both what I deem necessary and what additional upgrades I have to offer to make 30 cal bullets from various jacket materials using my dies.
I recommend using a Lee Classic Cast press with my BTSniper premium dies. I offer an improved version of the Lee Classic Cast press that I have modified specifically to handle the pressures of swaging. This press has modified linkages that produce over twice the leverage of the stock press and comes with a new threaded ram and auto eject set up.
Should the customer already have the Lee Classic Cast press all that is needed is my auto eject set up and the press will be good to go for use with my dies.

The best choice for making both affordable, deadly and accurate 30 cal bullets is to use scrap FN5.7x28 brass for jackets. I have shot many groups from 30 cal bullets made from 5.7 brass under 1/2 MOA and have taken two NE Oregon mule deer with bullets made from this brass.
$199.00 neck expander
$249.00 draw die to go from .316-.305 of the 5.7 brass
$69.00 draw die push threw base punch
$517.00 add on
9mm for 30 cal jackets....
*making 30 cal jackets from 9mm brass is a lot of labor and recommended only for those with a lot of time and patience. Accuracy potential is a bit unknown and will depend greatly on how consistent the user is in the process of drawing down, annealing and cleaning the brass before each reduction is the draw down process, but teh resulting jacket exhibits all the properties of high end bullets with thick solid base and tappered jacket wall for quick expansion yet high weight retention.
$1245.00
five draw dies to take 9mm from .390-375-350-330-316-305 in diameter. (Notice if you already had the 5.7 kit you would already have the last die of this process and could deduct the cost of one draw die)
$138.00 two base punches necessary for use with all the draw dies
$1383.00 add on
Copper tubing for 30 cal jackets
*making 30 cal jackets from copper tubing is a lot of labor but for those that have the time excelent bullets can be made from scrap 5/16" tubbing.
$499.00 copper tubing jacket form die.
$249.00 Copper tubing jacket forming base punch (makes one length jacket, additional punches necessary should various length jackets be required).
$249.00 draw die to reduce copper tubing from .316 to .302 (same as with the 5.7 kit)
$69.00 draw die push through base punch (same as with the 5.7 kit)
$249.00 draw die to reduce 30 cal .250" diameter cores to .223" diameter.
$69.00 draw die push through base punch for .250" diameter lead core reduction.
$69.00 Copper tubing core seat base punch
$1453.00 add on
Standard reloading press options
Shell holder style base punch
$89.00 ea.
*same price as listed above for boat tail options
These are the numbers, price and tooling required to form 30 cal bullets from various jacket materials. Notice some of the various kits have tooling that over laps and can be used with other kits should customer purchase more then one add on.
Feel free to contact me for additional details. Let me know your email address and I'll be happy to send copy of instruction manuals for potential customers to look over.
Good shooting and swage on!
