    6.5 grendel bullet mold.

I'm in the process of getting a Howa mini action and plan to cast for it the $64 question whose mold and what weight seems to work best. Have to admit I'm partial to NOE.

NOE is about it. Possibly try Mountain Molds to design your own, but not sure if they go below .270 caliber or not. Good luck and stay safe.

RCBS makes a mold in 6.5 mm,Saeco does as well but it's a special order which means hold on to your wallet. Not a fan of Lyman unless their quality has improved. Had their molds decades ago and any problem was met with can't help you buy a new mold.

DocS, I posted in your mini action thread, also. If you want to try out the NOE grendel bullet, I'd be happy to send you a hundred or so (you cover shipping), or if you want just 10 or so to try fit and function, you can cover postage. I haven't loaded my yet, but I did make a couple of dummy rounds. They fed very well after getting the appropriate bedding depth on the bottom metal in the Boyd's stock. The factory standard barrel rifle came with the magazine and BM at the correct height and feeds fine as is.

My grendel mold is the 266-126-FN-AO3, gas checked.

For my purpose, NOE's grendel bullet is about perfect in weight and SD for the grendel cartridge case. If you are just looking for an 1800fps cartridge, then you should still get there with the 140 class bullets. The Howa magazines length capacity is about 0.040" longer than the AR magazines, so there is some wiggle room. It is, Hmhowever, a relatively short internal capacity.

I have a 140 rcbs sil mould. I shoot it in my 6.5 Swedes and it is very accurate. I know it’s not a grendel but the bulletin is great with 17 grains of 4198.

I use the NOE mold in my Grendel. Works great.
