    Looking for a starting point

    Hello,

    Just ordered a NOE 225-67-FN-A5 3.

This is for a AR 15 build with a 1:7 twist barrel for 223 W.

This is for, plinking, target and maybe small game.

    I do have some VV N 310, N 320, N 340, N 110, 296, H 6 and a few other powders for pistol. I can add RL 7 and RL 15.

I am open to looking a different powders as well.

cast can be very problematic in ar's, they plug the gas port if everything is not controlled correctly. there are several threads with ideas and solutions to make cast work in the archives. I wanted something bombproof for reloading my ar so I went with BTSnipers btsimple dies and use 22lr brass to make jacked bullets that are just like factory, you might look into them.

H4895, because you will likely find that faster powders will not cycle the action.
H4895 is friendly with reduced loads, Hodgdon says it can be reduced to 60%.
you will probably find the best accuracy with loads just above what will cycle the action...somewhere around 1700-1800 fps.

Thank you both for the reply. I also have to see if someone local has H4895.
