    180 grain boolits in a Marlin 94

Got a bunch cast up and sized .359. Anyone have any favorite loads to share?

If they are plainbase I use 8.5 gr of Accurate #7. Approx. 1300 fps.

My 180gr GC bullets get 12.5 gr of 2400. Approx. 1500 fps.

Both are very accurate in my microgroove JM Marlin.

    The 2400 load shoots into a 2"-2 1/2" circle at 100 yards routinely. (I use a 4x scope)

    Best of luck,

    Steve in N CA

I don't post loading data on open forums, but I can tell you that with that bullet I get about 100 fps more using Hodgdon Lil'Gun than I do when using Winchester 296/Hodgdon H-110. It also produces the tightest groups with the heavier bullets in .357 Magnum. My load gives me an average of 1,710 fps with the 180 gr. RNFP-GC bullet in one of my Marlin 1894's.

    Hope this helps.
