    Stevens 44 1/2 25-20 win

as luck would have it ,found another 44 1/2 thats a bit of a project with a new barrel(still in white un blued) and lever (CPA) .The pervious owner was using it as pictured with good results .Bought it as a project for myself
She landed and gave her a once over and a few things needed attention ,made new firing as tip was broken and fee floating ,made up new link pins as the ones in it are worn .Did a draw file and polish and sent receiver and small bits off for CC and barrel is going for blueing .Wood is pretty good so I am going to do a clean up and oil it

I love that kind of project. Done enough to not need a bunch of machine work, and a few parts replaced and a cosmetic refinish. Should look great when finished.

The dark case hardening really looks good. That's going to be a very interesting gun when you get it back together. Can't wait for some pics

I have several case hardened guns. The darker ones are my favorite. I have a CPA on order not sure how much Im going to like the water fall look. So far my least favorite is C.Sharps

    Two thumbs up!
I like what you have done with it and I load for and like the 25-20R a great deal.
That will make a fine rifle to take a walk with.

Do you have an idea how fast the barrel is twisted and then what bullet weight range will work?
