I wanted to ask how y’all store shot and wads after opening the bags. I would like to keep the items readily available to use but contained. I was thinking a Folgers plastic coffee container for the shot but I’m at a loss for the wads.

I leave the wads in their original bag but sitting upright in file cabinet drawer. I put shot in Gatorade or 2 liter plastic bottles.

Those plastic chip bag clips are useful for wads. I tie a string around the shot bag after wrapping it around the top a few times.

I've used just about anything for shot. A 50 caliber ammo can works fantastic if you can lift 75 pounds. For wads, I use the original bag for most. Claybuster bags are my favorite. They are either zip loc, or have a bread style twist tie. I keep them in a plastic tote. For wads that the orignal bag doesn't work well, I use Hefty jumbo 2.5 gallon bags. I do similar for hulls. Hulls that I keep a lot of, I use 5 gallon buckets.

Powder bottles work well for partial bags of shot. Wads I keep in there plastic bags stored in Claybuster cardboard case of wad boxes. Hulls are in a big tote that holds 3000 hulls.

Large plastic coffee cans for shot. Large clear plastic pretzel jugs for wads.

I am with BB on this... the large clear pretzel or cheese ball containers are perfect for a good quantity of wads....

This. Basically just use big boxes

I use a Truck tool box for some of my wads.
I leave them in the original bags for easy identification

I use similar methods above (except for the cheese ball containers, I’m going to have to run out and get a bunch so I can do that. Good excuse to tell the wife; I need these for storage. )

I typically buy wads by the case of 5,000 so they’re in the factory case cardboard box . I generally leave them that way .

I also generally leave shot in the bag even once I’ve cut the bag open . After I cut it open and use some I twist the bag and put a piece of wire around it like a twist tie .

I pour my shot out of the cloth bag it comes in into a plastic jug that held fabric softener. It's got a handle and a good pour spout - makes it easy to handle.

Plastic booze bottles for shot. Wads I store in Paper barrels in the bags to keep sunlight away.

I never realized the sun degraded wads. Thanks for the shot bottle idea, that would be so much easier than holding a big 25lb bag up above the press.

I leave the shot in the bags it came in but might give the plastic jugs a try. I have bought such a large variety of wads that I use the stackable plastic containers about the size of a shoe box and mark the ends with a felt tip marker. These boxes also work well for new primed hulls. Gp

Plastic bottles for the shot, leave the wads in The case they came in, in the dark storage they will last for years!!
