Need some help with the Open Bullet feeder

I am building the Open Bullet Feeder, the flapper on the side that spring goes behind. It keeps catching in the bullet plate and binding. I have everything else working great. I have tried adjusting the spring pressure but it still binds. I am not mechanically inclined. Would rounding off the corners of the bullet plate help or did I get too weak of motor. I am using the Uxcell offcentered 4 RPM 12vdc motor. The motor does look like it slower than what I ordered.

Lol need to get this project finished so I can start the Shoe Box case feeder.
