Lube for sizing HiTek coated bullets

My impression is that Hi-Tek coated bullets are harder to seat in new cases and are harder to size in push thru dies than tumble lubed bullets are. I did't have the foresight to buy a bottle of their sizing lube when I bought my Hi-Tek powder but I feel like I need to give them a spritz of something before I jam them thru the dies. Has anyone tried a light coat of something like 45-45-10?

Does the cured coating react with petroleum based lubes? I would hate to dissolve the coating away while they sit in the case because I tumble lubed them.

How about a diluted solution of the Lee resizing wax? I may give that a try. It works really well as a case sizing lube. Or wire pulling lube?

I’ve used a spritz of water with good results for powder coated bullets that we’re hard to size. It helps reduce the friction a little with no residue. I’ve never used Hi Tek before but would bet anything you mentioned would work but I usually try the easier methods before jumping to more exotic options.

I have use the Hornady One Shot to reduce sizing friction, your new cases might need some One Shot also.

But the heet MUST be iso-heet (https://www.goldeagle.com/product/is...ector-cleaner/) - the regular heet contains methanol which will not work and is poisonous

Or just use whatever case lube you normally use but at a reduced rate.

Donnie Miculek sells a concentrated sizing spray from the HiTek manufacturer. It works well for me.

I guess it depends how much you have to resize them (and how hard the alloy is), I'm only doing 1-2 thou with pistol range scrap (approx. 14 BHN) and don't have any problem. I have used lube in the past but haven't noticed enough of a difference to bother. Bear in mind that Hi-Tek coating is slightly slippery by nature.

As for seating in cases, I've never had any issues with the coating causing difficulties.
