    Anyone run the Lee 452-230-TC?

I'm eyeballing this boolit for my 625 IDPA.

Looks like it sould feed smoothly.

I figure for outdoor matches I can shoot em lubed, and PC for indoor, where lead is verboten.

That is exactly what I used for my 625-JM
The also cycle nicely in my Ruger American.

This is my primary 45acp bollit and feeds flawless in my Ballister Molina and my Springfield XDs and is more accurate than I can shoot.

Jon, what OAL are you using for your Ruger American?

I use this bullet in .45acp and .45 Schofied cartridges. It also works almost as well in the .45 Colt, giving decent accuracy with loads in the 750 to 900fps range. While I prefer a flat nose bullet for game, this bullet provides exceptional economy for target shooting in a .45.

The 452-230 TC lube grove cast boolits run through everything 45acp I have tried them in , and shoot good to . Only problem I have seen with them is the 6 cavity empty the pot really fast .
That being said my favorites are still the 185 & 200 grain SWC , but not all handguns like them . They require a little tinkering .

As a novice caster, I started with the 230 TC tumble lube version and it has worked great.

I've had the same results with this bullet. It shoots great from a GM and a OACP with no issues.

It runs and shoots great in my .45 pistols- it may replace the 200 SWC next batch.

Use it in my .45Colt Cowboy Loads for about the last 20yrs. Bought them from a small commercial caster before I started casting them myself.
Use it in .45S&W loads too.
It works well in .45ACP loads too. Just can't afford to use them, Revolver ammo needs them too much. 6cav mold and Eastwood Squirrel Gray, cast of COWW/#2.

I prefer the H&G 68 FB for ACP Paper punching, nice clean holes. Or the RCBS 45-201-KT, using 2molds you almost can cast enough.
    I HATE auto-correct

Happiness is a Warm GUN & more ammo to shoot in it.

My Experience and My Opinion, are just that, Mine.
