That's what I believed until I actually went to use the charts. they all list RS as being harder than COWW.

Range scrap:
If it's primarily 22lr and muzzleloader, it will be almost as soft as pure lead.
If it's primarily centerfire pistol commercial bullets, it will be harder than COWW.
and it could be anything else in between those.

Also, Ingots cool differently than boolits, so the same alloy can indicate different hardnesses between ingots and boolits. More importantly, if you cooled the ingots with a wet towel, the ingots will indicate harder.

JonB I do follow that thinking. What I have is from am indoor range and I'm going to guess it's a mix of 22LR and pistol as they will only allow pistol caliber carbines on the range. Now how much of this is cast I have no idea. What I have seems to be softer than my COWW. Lastly everything I do is air cooled.

Back in post 28 I posted a sample I mixed with my range scrap and the print type mixed at 10:1.. After almost a week it now tests as 2B with the pencil and then today I mixed another larger batch, 3000 gram at 10:1 and after it cooled and I dumped them out of the muffin tin I could see what looks like crystal flakes in it. Is that the Antimony I am seeing?
