Source for Tall Front Sight for '98 Mauser?

Brownells no longer carries one, Liberty Tree Collectors is out of stock. Anyone have another source?

I make my own. Piece of mild steel, hacksaw and files, I can turn one out in under an hour.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

I guess that's what I'll have to do.

I had the same problem a couple months ago. I purchased the tall '91 mauser front sight from brownell's. It will fit the 98 dovetail and it's tall enough that you'll have to file it down down to zero the rifle. The main differene is that it's a square post instead of triangular. To find it, just search the site for "mauser front sight" hope this helps.

Okay, thanks for the info. I saw that one on Brownells website. Guess I'll order one or two.
