    Cerakote oven

    My winter project
A file cabinet Cerakote baking oven
PID control, internal fan, and adjustable hanger system.

Most items were reused from the ReStore, computer power supply box, bed frame for the door. PID, insulation, and burner from eBay.

What kind of insulation did you select?

I found it on eBay. A 2” wool with foil facing good for around 1200 degrees. Comes in a 24x48” sheet. Four sheets fit this cabinet perfectly with no leftovers. It was the biggest expense. (I actually searched the vendor on Google, and bought it from them with a promo in an email from registering.)

Who is the vendor for the insulation?

    Zoro.com

It was 1 1/2” not 2” as I said above. Semirigid, but the wool is different stuff to work with. Cuts with a razor, but tears off pretty easy. Foil sticks to it, but can peel off because of the loose wool fibers.

Zero.com is a division of Grainger I think. They sell corn cob blasting media that is good for tumbling!

A bit off topic, but drillspot.com is also great for cc media.

    Back to topic...

    Nice job on the oven.
