    The BHN Hardness Of My Lead

    Hey fellas
    I am going to be casting my own round balls for my Traditions 1858 Remington New Army .44 Cal Steel Frame, 12" Oct. Barrel Buffalo cap & ball revolver what hardness will I need for my lead to be in order not to lead the barrel this is where I have a lot to learn fellas

    Use the purest, softest lead that you can find. If your lead is too hard you will have trouble seating the ball and can actually damage the loading lever. Don't worry about leading the bore.
