Interested to see how you like it. I put one on my 44. Picking up the dot is still slower than regular sights, but it does give you a good sight picture. The other day, I had one round left after some plinking, so I backed up to 100 yards and took aim at an 8 inch plate, off hand. Boom, clang!

I feel for me this tube style is a little faster than the fast fire style I have on a mini 14 and a 300bo pistol, but we'll see.i just hope these 300gr hammers don't shake the guts out of it lol.i do good to see 8 inch plate at 100 yards lol

I just put a Fastfire 3 on my Redhawk (45 Colt). After some practice I can pick up the dot fairly quickly.

They're fun; sip lead and powder, and shoot like a laser.

I've been using one on my S&W M69 for several months now. Gotten to the point where I can pick up the dot as easily as iron sights. The dot is a big help mitigating age related eye sight deterioration. I hate the look, but really like the results.

Hopefully I will get around to mounting my fastfire 3 on my Blackhawk 41 magnum this weekend!

I have one of the Primary Arms red dots on a 6.5" .44 mag 629 Classic. I have run factory Winchester 240 grain HPs through it with no damage whatsoever. The combo does do damage to clay birds on the berm at 110 yards from a rest, however. It's a definite aid to 70 year-old eyes. I'm now considering one for a 4" performance Center 625. Should be nice to shoot, but kind of ugly. GF

I managed to mount the fastfire3 and cut out the holster for it. I only have factory level LilGun/XTP ammo so I need to start out with 210gr SWC/1000fps - hand me that loading bench......
It doesn't look traditional, but hits is hits.

Thanks, Chad. They are from an elk that my late brother killed. Sack Peterson made them for me. They are a touch wide but it helps tame the recoil from heavy loads. I used a Weaver #31 base( for octagon ML barrels and rear base for old Savage 110); epoxied and screwed on.

Put a 40 buck red dot truglo on my 44sbh after milling an extra slot in the weaver mount to center the red dot over the cylinder. Just didn't look right or secure . 25 yard 1 1/2 inch groups possible 15g major MP 432 185gn powder coated hollow points.

Chad, what brand of Red Dot did you get? I'd be interested in hearing how the mount and Red Dot hold up after shooting it some.
I've been looking at that Mount for a couple of my Rugers.

its a at3 tactical red dot,the mount,i used with a scope for about 40 rounds before it shook apart and it seemed sturdy for those few rounds but ill post how it does.

Fact: Some people are alive simply because it's illegal to kill them.
