Without the use of the Norwegian Milling machine AKA also files a lot of the work on just about anything would have No black powder musket or long rifle with which to hunt and defend his home stead.In watching this wonderful movie I had no idea that there were so many file operations performed.Thank you for making this movie available. Thank ya'll for the video AND for the link to the history of Wallace. Both are really good. Amazing how the wood screws where cut by hand with a file. Had to mark where each would go because no two were the same. WOW!!! In the 1700s/1800s a rifle was a major purchase for sure.
When I was 9-12, the family went to Williamsburg on vacation and toured the colonial village. Spent most my time in the blacksmith and gunsmith shops with my father. Memorable, educational and my start down the firear road.
