Are the Rossi 92 case-hardened receivers the real deal, or just a painted or spray on finish?

IDK about the case colors, as today most are an applied finish; but I DO know that blued Rossi's are the hardest steel I've ever had to D/T for receiver sights, bar none.

Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
IDK, but I looked at one years ago and the finish looked suspicious. Looked at another one last year, looked better, but still not "right", just a mass-produced fascimile of a CCH finish.
But AFAIK, they haven't done that finish in years.
Pretty sure, like most other modern guns, its an arsenic finish, true color case hardening is ridiculously expensive and time consuming. Look at Turnbull Restoration.
