    NOE HTC452-230-RF and OAL

Just bought this mold and cast up a few. Using the plunk test to set OAL with my three 45 ACP barrels shows this bullet needs to be seated really deep! 1.140 which is pretty far under specs and what I've ever loaded.

I have the Lee 452-228-2R that also seats deep but that I seat at 1.190-1.200"

Anyone use this mold and have some advice?

Seat deep or get your barrels throated.

Thanks, that's what I figured. If it was just one barrel that liked that depth I'd be worried but since all three are the same I'll start testing.

What you're OAL? Mine seat just just a tad before the shoulder. I like how they look, just not a depth I've run across.

I purchased the same mold about the same time and just thought I'd see if anyone else had same issues!
I had to seat to 1.153 to fit four of my 45's

Yep, it's a fat, squatty bullet with a short bearing surface. Really threw me at first. My go to 45 bullet currently. They cast so effortlessly!
