I've used this boolit for years in my 45's. I was the boolit I used back in the day to shoot Bianchi cup and pin patches. I use two molds and cast in tandem to keep production up. It was very accurate and had no bad habits.

I have an Ohaus, Lachmiller, and RCBS 200-SWC. I've also got the 201-SWC and the 201KT in the RCBS.

I like a longer nose on my SWC boolits. The 201KT and the Lyman 452630 are my go to boolits.

    Thanks for any info.

This is a similar bullet to the legendary H&G #68, which I think is the most accurate cast bullet design ever for the 45 acp.

BTW: I see a 4 cavity #68 for sale on EBay, I am not interested as I already have four #68's.

it to see what it sells for.

The 201KT is more of a 68 style, but with a slightly longer nose. If you look at the current 201 it's close to that.

I really like the RCBS 200 gr. swc. bullet over 5.4 gr. of WW231. I cast these bullets from wheelweights or linotype and I have a preference for WW Large Pistol primers and Federal cases. The most accurate load that I have ever found for my 1911's!

OK guys, I've been kicking this thing with the three different molds around
for a few days now and still can't figure out which one of them is closer to
    the H&G #68 mold. Is it the RCBS 200-SWC, 201-SWC, or 201-SWC-KT
Opinions...... I'm going to buy one or the other.... Denny

The 201 SWC would be closest. The 200 SWC is a totally different boolit. Shorter nose, more than one lube groove.

I have to set the 201 SWC next to the 68 to tell which one is which.

I had lots of malfunctions with the 200 SWC, it's a shorter boolit. Switched over to the 201 SWC and never had a hangup again in all my 1911's. It's a copy of the H&G 68. I've since got a 4 cav Accurate mold of the same design, speeds up casting, and what a pleasure to cast with. It's my favorite mold.

The RCBS 201 is my favorite cast for 1911's. My load is 5.3 gr. of 231 with Fed 150 primers loaded to 1.235". Reliable function and accurate in all my 1911's.

The 1911 handgun was designed to fire military ammunition with a round nose. The H&G #68 is a semi-wadcutter bullet designed for excellent accuracy out to 50 yards and for that reason the #68 has been the go to bullet for "Bullseye" shooters for years. The reason this bullet feeds so well is the nose hits the feed ramp in the exact spot as a military ball round. When these bullets are powder coated they feed even better. Some 1911's that have a reputation of being very finicky about ammunition will feed a PC #68 without issue. There are "clones" of the old H&G #68, which appear to be the same, but all I have seen are NOT an exact copy. My advice from an old shooter to all you new guys is if you want to shoot and enjoy the potential of a 1911 then find a H&G #68 mold. You may pay a little more for one in good condition, but if cared for it will last longer that a lifetime and deliver terrific bullets. It will also likely be the best quality mold you will own.

Used it for years ago several years and sold it when I got out of 45 ACP. When I got back into 45 ACP went with a double cavity Lee 452-200 SWC simply for price as I didn't want to invest a lot. When my son and SIL got 1911's went with the Lee six banger of same design. The RCBS would be fine if I didn't need a higher production rate.
