Looking for a custom 12 Gauge Rifled barrel

Ok guys, I am about to the limit of what my H&R Ultra Slug can handle for the 12 Gauge from Hell. To get to near the max potential for the cartridge, I am moving to a Savage 212. However, I am needing to swap the barrel for a thicker and longer option than the factory. The dimensions I am looking for are 1.25" diameter (no taper), 30" long, with a 1-20" twist. Shaw has a barrel that comes close, but the barrel is only 24" long and has a 1-28" twist. I am really needing a longer barrel to squeeze out some extra velocity, and the twist rate of 1-20" will be good for slugs up to 1000 grains.

I am pretty sure Pac-Nor used to make 12 gauge barrels, but with their recent fire, I don't know if they are up and going yet. Does anyone have any ideas of where to look?

    .

Hastings carries a 30" Verney-Carron barrel blank, but the only one on their website is a 20ga.

I would suggest contacting them to find out if they will/can supply a barrel that meets your needs.

Bigbore, the best slug barrel ever made was the Ithaca Rifled Deer Slayer barrel. Save your money and for $525 (shotgun and barrel) you have what you want instead of the H&R

ER Shaw offers replacement barrels for the Savage 212 in different contours, but they are only 1.055" at the breech.

Oregon barrel company makes up to a 4 bore. I'd give them a call and see if they can make what you want.
