    Rcbs rc ii ??

Saw this listed for sale locally and don't remember one with the black metal pieces shown here that connect handle to press.: Reminds me of Reddings Ultra Mag links. Is it a RC II?

    Thanks

Those pieces on my RC II are green cast pieces. The right side says RCBS and the left side says RCII.

I think the early versions had the green cast links. Then the bean counter's decided plain steel links were less expensive. So after that they got the plain steel links.

That is an early RCII, steel link press. Customer feed back was overwhelming negative, the links have to be cast, all RCBS large presses have cast links and steel bars are just not proper. So the change was made to cast links and they have stayed that way through today's presses.

That was told to me by Buzz Huntington a couple of years before he passed away.

    Customers can be finicky people.

I have 2 RC's just like the one pictured. 1 with black steel links and the other is green with cast links. Love both, very strong.
