Lets see some Hi-Tek colors

I would like to order some HT powder but the colors are difficult to see on their site. I have black now it would like to purchase a color that would cover well with two coats. Please post some pics of your colors. Thanks.

I've used Cherry, Gold & green all cover well.

Candy apple red and zombie green powder seem to cover good for me. I still like three coats

Kryptonite Green Covers good in 2 coats,some of the mates use it commercially.

Is kryptonite green darker than zombie green? I tried zombie green and found it very similar to gold but a tad darker and very little green coloration.

The only one using Kryptonite green Commercially is me.

Here is my first try at Kryptonite green and some of my Candy Apple Red both have 2 coats mixed 100 ml/ 20 g. and passed the smash and wipe test.

Your Kryptonite Green is spot on. Exactly the same colour as mine.

Hmm, looks very similar to my Zombie Green.

OK I am baking at 400*F for 10 minutes. Temperature is verified with digital heat gun and a stand alone thermostat temperature gauge. These bullets have two thin coats. Left to right are:
Candy Apple Red, Gold, Zombie Green.

My colors are much darker than what you guys are getting.

Try doing a 9 minute bake. They are over baked.

I think the directions said baking temperature 385-400. Should I drop the temp down to 385 too? My bullets have a burnt odor when shooting them. Is this due to being over baked?

A correctly baked bullet will have no (Zero, zilch, Nada, not in this life time) smell when fired.
Keep your temp and do 1 minute less.
Don't change more than one thing at a time.
You must be analytical and methodical.
I have been HITEK coating for 4 years and have never had fired bullets smell.

I had the same problem with my ovens. I started with a regular oven that had bad hot spots giving me multicolored bullets in each batch so I switched to a convection oven, set it to 400 and still got dark bullets. so I got 2 thermometers and hung them on the front of the rack by the door and adjusted the oven dial to where the thermometers read 400. I still got dark bullets. Sooooooo I moved the thermometers to the middle of the oven and had to turn the oven dial down quite a bit from wen I measured by the door. This time my bullets came out the right color.
Food for thought .. Hi-Tek (Ausglocks Mate (friend) and person who works on developing Hi-Tek coating) said that if the lube grooves are not yellowish your putting on to much coating

Bronze .45, black .380, and Kryptonite .380

The Bronze has three coats cooked about 14 minutes each coat, sized after the second coat.
The Black and Kryptonite Green were cooked about 12 minutes each of two coats and then sized. I may add another coat. If I cook the green .380's longer than 12 minutes, they tend to turn a darker brown color.

can anyone tell me what the name of these hi tek colors are the blue one is an old hrbc colour is it still available

The blue is not HITEK coating. It is HRBC's own concoction. Amature laquer and blue ink I think. Bloody horrible stuff. Load 100 rounds and your fingers are blue. Leaded like unlubed bullets.
I melted about 10,000 of them down as they were bloody horrible.
