Alina did much of the video work this time. Thank you! Events like this were new to her, and I'm pretty sure this was the first time she ever shot a flintlock rifle.

We keep growing! We had around 25 shooters this time, with several new faces, including one gentleman who drove clear over from Wallace, Idaho to attend.

It didn't look like it was snowing much here in the timber, but as soon as you got back out on the road, the drive home was miserable!

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Thanks for posting that! Watching it brought back memories of our group that we started in the 60's. Winter shoots were always a challenge but great fun. We even had a couple of live turkey shoots, they would be frowned upon today. Sitting here remembering all those great people I realized that I can only think of one other person of the original group that is alive today. Miss them and the great times we had.

I think I recognized a couple of faces there. Did any Spokane guys show up?
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

No, the only out of state guy was from Wallace, Idaho.

Wood smoke from a camp fire, and the smell of black powder....it just does something to the soul!

Thank you for the video, it gave me a great feeling!
